The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum will begin its fourth semester of 2025 group lessons on November 4, offering weekly Tuesday classes for fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo, and bass through December 16, when students will perform Christmas songs at a local nursing home, according to a release from the museum.
Tuition is $75 per student, with discounts available for additional family members or for students who enroll in a second class. Instruments are available to borrow.
No beginner classes will be offered this semester. The program is open to players with at least basic experience — for example, three or four chords or simple fiddle tunes.
Each class will learn the same songs on its instrument, then students will collaborate across instruments to gain experience playing in a band setting. The semester will conclude with a community performance at a nursing home on Dec. 16.
Registration is available at bluegrasshall.org/education/lessons. For more information, contact Randy Lanham at [email protected].
The museum also announced two new private music teachers: Randall Howard (guitar and banjo) and Brayden Hood (fiddle and mandolin).
