Truck-A-Palooza, a free touch-a-truck event designed for all abilities, will take place on Wednesday at the Opportunity Center of Owensboro.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1101 East Byers Avenue. To support guests who are sensitive to noise, a sensory-friendly Quiet Hour will be observed from 10 to 11 a.m.
Attendees can explore and interact with a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including semis, fire trucks, utility vehicles, and side-by-sides, presented by local contractors, first responders, and community partners.
“This event is about more than trucks — it’s about connection, inclusion, and creating meaningful experiences for individuals of all abilities,” said Ashlee Berry, the Opportunity Center’s community engagement director. “We invite families, caregivers, and friends to come together with our community partners for a day of exploration and fun.”
Event supporters include Champion Ford, Hughes Construction, the City of Owensboro, First Class Services, Hagan’s Outdoors, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Acme Chicken Bowls, and East Coast Eats, among others.
In case of rain, the event will be postponed until October 22.
