The Women’s Guild of Owensboro has announced its 2025 grant recipients, celebrating 85 years of service, philanthropy, and community impact.
This year, the Guild awarded $26,525 to 14 local nonprofits, supporting efforts that uplift families, enhance education, and strengthen the community. More than $200,000 in requests were submitted by 43 nonprofits, underscoring both the growing needs in the region and the importance of continued charitable support.
“These grants represent the heart of what our organization stands for — women coming together to serve others,” said Emmy Woosley, president of the Women’s Guild. “As we celebrate our 85th year, we’re honored to carry forward the Guild’s legacy of generosity and tradition. Each dollar raised through our annual luncheon helps us support the organizations that make Owensboro a better place for everyone.”
Allocations Chair Robin Booth added, “We were grateful to receive so many applications from a wide variety of groups. Through the hard work of our members, we are able to touch the lives of so many in our community.”
The 2025 grant recipients are:
- The Center
- Oasis
- H.L. Neblett Center
- Goodfellows
- Western Kentucky Botanical Garden
- YMCA
- International Center
- Boys & Girls Club
- Juvenile Treatment Court
- St. Benedict’s Women’s Shelter
- Help Office
- New Beginnings
- CASA
- Crossroads
The Guild will continue its fundraising tradition with the 85th Annual Luncheon, set for May 6-7, 2026. Proceeds from the luncheon directly support future grant cycles.
“We’re already planning, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to celebrate, and, of course, there will be plenty of chicken salad,” Woosley said.
Founded in 1940, the Women’s Guild unites local women in volunteerism and philanthropy, distributing funds each year to nonprofits addressing critical needs in Owensboro and Daviess County.
