The Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade is set for 4:30 p.m. Saturday, and the official multi-camera live stream will be hosted exclusively on the Owensboro Times Facebook page. Here’s what to know — from this year’s 120-entry float lineup to street closures and parking.

The parade will begin at the corner of 2nd and Pearl streets and continue all the way to Locust Street. The year’s theme is “Christmastime in the City.” The Grand Marshal for the 2025 parade is local artist Aaron Kizer, while retired battalion chief Steve Leonard will be the Honorary Grand Marshal.

About the live stream

The full parade will be streamed live on the Owensboro Times Facebook page. RiverValley Behavioral Health serves as the presenting sponsor, with additional support from the Christmas Parade Committee.

The broadcast will feature multiple camera angles to capture all the action. On-camera commentary will be provided by longtime parade committee member Jane Head, WBKR radio personality Chad Benefield, and OT’s own John Kirkpatrick.

After the event, the full video will be available to watch on the Owensboro Times website and YouTube channel.

Street closures/parking

Beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday and lasting through the evening, 2nd Street will be closed from Greyhound Drive (near the former Daviess County Middle School) to Walnut Street (just past the Convention Center). Within that stretch, several connecting side streets between 2nd and 3rd streets will also be closed.

The Daviess Street will remain open, but the Locust Street garage will be closed. Additional street parking will be available anywhere not included in the closure zone.
