Donatos Pizza is bringing back its Pizza Week fan-favorite, the “Triple Triple Double,” for a limited time to kick off the new year.

The specialty pizza, which swept two awards during Owensboro Times Pizza Week in September, will be available Jan. 1-11. The Triple Triple Double earned both the “Dough$ Maker” (most sold) and “The People’s Slice” (community favorite) awards for the traditional pizza offering category.

The pizza gained attention during Pizza Week for its stacked combination of triple meats and bold flavor. It’s a 12-inch thin-crust pizza layered with a garlic Parmesan base, deli-shaved ham, chicken, bacon, smoked provolone, mozzarella, and Romano. It’s then finished with ranch and Mike’s Hot Honey drizzles, party cut, and served with optional crunchy dill pickles on the side.

Donatos said the decision to bring it back came after strong customer demand following the competition.

The limited-time return gives customers another chance to try the award-winning pizza — or revisit a favorite that helped Donatos dominate this year’s Pizza Week results.

Donatos has been a staple in Owensboro since opening its first local restaurant in 2016 at 2601 West Parrish Avenue, followed by a second location at 3415 New Hartford Road in 2019. The local franchise ownership is split among three families: Sean and Jennifer Byrne, Angela and Jason Curry, and Mark and Liane Riney. All three were raised in Owensboro or Hancock County and remain invested in the area.
