Owensboro Dance Theatre is holding open auditions for its 2026 spring production, “In Concert Featuring The Wizard of Oz…Reimagined.” Boys and girls ages 6 to 13 are invited to try out for extra cast roles in this creative version of the classic tale.
Auditions will be held Jan. 6 from 7-7:30 p.m. at Johnson’s Dance Studio (2705 Breckenridge Street). Participants should arrive 15 minutes early for registration. A $75 performance fee will be due upon acceptance, but not at the audition.
Selected cast members must attend the required choreography weekend, Jan. 22-25. Additional rehearsals will be scheduled leading up to performances.
School performances are set for March 19-20, with public shows on March 21-22.
Organizers say the show is a great opportunity for young performers to gain stage experience in a high-quality, professional production.
