The Western Kentucky Outdoor Expo is set to return to the Owensboro Convention Center on February 7-8, offering a free and family-friendly weekend of hands-on outdoor experiences, industry connections, and the latest gear for adventurers of all kinds.

According to organizers, the event celebrates the outdoor lifestyle and features vendors and exhibits in areas such as camping, fishing, boating, hunting, RV travel, and more. They said visitors can explore RVs, campers, boats, kayaks, outdoor technology, and gear — all under one roof — while speaking directly with local outfitters, guides, and outdoor service providers.

A highlight of this year’s Expo is the debut of “Base Camp,” a relaxed camping-style lounge sponsored by Owensboro Racing & Gaming. Organizers say it’s a place for attendees to unwind, catch live sports, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere between vendor visits.

Roots RV and Sales will also be on hand with a large selection of RVs, offering a chance to step inside different models, compare layouts, and talk with experienced staff. Boats and kayaks will also be featured prominently, giving guests a full range of land and water recreation options to explore.

The Expo runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on February 7 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on February 8. Admission is free.

Organizers say the event is tailored to all experience levels, from seasoned outdoorsmen to families and newcomers looking to explore the outdoors.

“With interactive exhibits, trusted brands, and community-focused experiences, it’s a weekend built around adventure, learning, and connection,” the release said.
