OPD: man arrested for armed robbery at Dollar General

UPDATE —  On April 20, Lacedrick L. Watt, 31 years old, of Owensboro, was charged with first-degree robbery in relation to this case.

According to an Owensboro Police Department news release, on April 18, 2019, at approximately 8:59 p.m., OPD responded to Dollar General, located at 2511 East 4th Street, on a report of an armed robbery. The suspect entered the store with a knife and demanded money before fleeing on foot. One of the employees suffered a stab wound during the incident and was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with what are believed to be nonlife-threatening injuries.
