On Thursday, the US Marshals Task Force for Western District of Kentucky and Detectives from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office-assisted by the Hartford Police Department, the Beaver Dam Police Department, the Kentucky State Police, and the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office-conducted an operation at a trailer on West Union Street in Hartford, Ky., to serve an arrest warrant on Dylan Marlow, age 18, of Beaver Dam, Ky. for several thefts from automobile that occurred in Beaver Dam, Ky., on Sunday night/early Monday morning.
Marlow was taken into custody after briefly refusing to exit the trailer at the command of US Marshals. He eventually came out and was arrested without incident. Two other adults in the home were arrested on drug charges unrelated to the warrant operation by Kentucky State Police.
Marlow was developed as a suspect in the thefts after his truck was located in the Woodlands neighborhood in Daviess County, Ky., Tuesday morning while DCSO Patrol Division units were investigating several thefts from automobile complaints in the Woodlands, Lake Forrest and Countryside neighborhoods that occurred Monday night/early Tuesday morning.
Responding Patrol Deputies could see possible stolen property and drugs in the cab of the truck, and it was seized by DCSO and a search warrant was executed on the truck. Several items that had been reported stolen in Daviess County and Beaver Dam were located in the vehicle. DCSO Detective Jared Ramsey, lead investigator on this case, worked with Lieutenant Tommy Phelps of the Beaver Dam Police Department to develop Marlow as the suspect in the rash of thefts from both jurisdictions.
Two other suspects have been identified as of Wednesday and will be charged in Daviess County once warrants can be prepared. Marlow’s Thursday arrest in Hartford was on a warrant taken by Lt. Phelps for the thefts that occurred in Beaver Dam, Ky. The investigation by DCSO continues and property is being still being recovered. As of the time of Marlow’s arrest there have been over 20 thefts from automobile and one burglary reported to the DCSO.
