Due to the recent storm that swept our area, many residents have been left with unexpected tree limb debris. Beginning on Monday, the Sanitation Department will place two chipper trucks in operation to make one complete pass for limbs. Crews will start in Monday’s route and will continue progressing through the routes until one pass has been made through each route.
Crews will continue leaf collection as originally scheduled. The zones scheduled for leaf pickup are posted daily on several media outlets for your convenience.
Reminders for limb collection:
• Have limbs accessible at the curb, with cut ends towards the street
• Do not block sidewalks
• Do not place limbs in the roadway
• Do not block material with cars or other obstructions
For the quickest disposal of your debris, City Sanitation customers are encouraged to use the Daviess County Transfer Station. With your sanitation bill and a photo I.D., drop-off is free of charge. Please note, they are limited to accepting 18” diameter or less for tree limbs. If you have anything larger, please make other disposal or collection arrangements.
