VIDEO: Man arrested in Daviess County after three-county pursuit

The Kentucky State Police arrested a Muhlenberg County man after a pursuit that ended in Daviess County Monday afternoon. 

According to KSP, Senior Officer John Mark Sweeney observed a 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck pulling a small trailer commit a traffic violation. Sweeney attempted to stop the vehicle when the driver, identified as 33-year-old Andrew Toll of Breman, failed to stop. Toll stopped for a brief moment, refusing to exit the vehicle, before continuing to flee.  

According to reports, the pursuit entered into McLean County, where Toll struck a deputy’s vehicle.  Deputies with the McLean County Sheriff’s Office were able to deflate Toll’s tires, slowing the pursuit.  

The pursuit continued into Daviess County, where Toll finally stopped and was taken into custody and was charged with the following:

  • Speeding
  • Reckless Driving
  • Fleeing/Evading Police
  • Wanton Endangerment 1st
  • Resisting Arrest

Toll was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
