Saturday’s sunshine brought crowds to The Cottage Farm Stand’s annual Strawberry Festival, but heavy overnight rain forced organizers to cancel the second day of the event due to unsafe conditions.

“Due to the extremely hazardous conditions of our parking fields and walking paths and the vast amounts of mud, we have cancelled the Strawberry Festival for today, Sunday, June 8,” organizers announced Sunday morning. “We are deeply saddened at this unfortunate set of circumstances and hope to see everyone at our Pumpkin & Pickle Festival, October 25 & 26, 2025 in drier conditions.”

The Cottage Farm Stand will next welcome guests for its fall Pumpkin & Pickle Festival in October. More information is available at cottagefarmstand.com and on the business’s Facebook page.
