Competing against the local schools and Union County in the first of their weekly matches, Daviess County shot 174 to emerge victoriously. Playing nine holes, Briley Billingsley shot 38 to win the individual, while her sister Baylie Billingsley finished third in the individual after shooting 41. Kennedy Minton (46) and Ayla Roberts (49) rounded out the team’s scores.
The Lady Panthers had a second team in attendance, which finished fourth. Addelyn Yager led the way shooting 51, while Molly Fiorella (52), Ryleigh Wyatt (55), and Allison Wiggins (56).
Owensboro Catholic finished second, shooting 189, followed by Addie-Belle Rutman (44), Emma Lanham (47), Betsy Evans (48), Ava Settles (50), and Catherine Ray (52).
Union County finished third (198), while Owensboro sent two teams that shot 216 and 251. Ryann Kasey led the way for the Lady Devils, finishing second in the individual with a 39. Hampton Gaddis was second on the team with a 56 and was followed by Ellison Storm (59) and Olive Harrison (62). Owensboro’s second team was led by Avery Martin who shot 58, while Macy Critchelow (69), Kinsley Hayden (62), and Haley Edge (71) rounded out the team’s scores.
Apollo’s lone athlete Caitlyn Cecil shot a 65, while Trinity (Whitesville’s) Rylee Hayden shot 57.
