Know an individual who deserves recognition for their efforts in regional development, or think your city has made the biggest effort in the area to improve residents’ quality of life? Today is the final day to submit nominations for awards honoring those achievements and more.
Since 2002, the Green River Area Development District has honored three individuals each year with Regional Excellence Awards:
- The Charles Reid Regional Citizenship Award recognizes a citizen from the public or private sector who has played a major role in regional development efforts.
- The Texal Brooks Regional Leadership Award recognizes a current or former GRADD Board or committee member who has demonstrated outstanding regional leadership.
- The Wendell Ford Legislative Leadership Award recognizes a local, state, or national elected official who has dedicated his/her life to working with legislative issues and services for our region’s citizens.
“These awards acknowledge exceptional commitment to our region,” said GRADD Executive Director Joanna Shake. “GRADD is blessed to have extraordinary leaders in our community. We are grateful for the opportunity to recognize outstanding individuals who have made an impact in the district.”
Additionally, the GRADD Community of the Year Award honors a city or county that has initiated significant efforts to improve the quality of life for its residents.
GRADD will honor award winners at its Annual Meeting on September 10.
