A 62-year-old Owensboro man has been arrested on three counts related to child sexual abuse material, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to an OPD release, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force detectives arrested Robert (Kent) Cannon the morning of August 1.
Officials said that after being taken into custody, Cannon was interviewed, and detectives executed a search warrant at Cannon’s residence in the 4000 block of Benttree Drive.
Cannon faces two counts of Use of a Minor under 16 years of age in a Sex Performance and one count of Procuring or Promoting the Use of a Minor by Electronic Means, according to OPD.
Officials said the investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed after a forensic analysis of the collected evidence is completed.
