The Kentucky Wesleyan football squad fell behind early and never found its footing Saturday, suffering a 44-0 road loss to Hillsdale.

The Panthers (0-4, 0-2 Great Midwest Athletic Conference) gave up 14 points in the first quarter and couldn’t recover as the Chargers steadily pulled away. Wesleyan’s offense was held out of the end zone, though wide receiver Camron Brogan provided a bright spot with four catches for 95 yards.

On defense, three Panthers reached double figures in tackles. Jalon Baker recorded eight solo and six assisted stops, Josh Noble added two solo and nine assisted, and Nolan Forsha finished with five solo and five assisted.

The Panthers now turn their attention to their toughest stretch of the season — three consecutive matchups against opponents either ranked or receiving votes in the latest AFCA Division II Coaches Poll. They return home Saturday to face Ashland at Steele Stadium, with kickoff set for 4 p.m. and coverage on FloCollege.
