One person died after an accident where a motorcycle collided with another vehicle on Friday morning, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to OPD, a preliminary investigation indicates a motorcycle was traveling southbound on Triplett Street when it collided with another vehicle that was traveling westbound on Old Hartford Road. Authorities said the operator of the motorcycle was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
OPD Accident Reconstruction Investigators responded to the scene to continue the investigation, and the roadway was closed for just more than 3 hours.
