The Open Doors Resource & Job Fair, set for Wednesday, is designed to connect Owensboro residents with career opportunities, training programs, and community resources.
Hosted by the Kentucky Career Center – Green River, the fair will take place from 3-6 p.m. at 3108 Fairview Drive. Attendees can explore job openings, learn about workforce development programs, and meet directly with employers conducting one-on-one conversations with potential candidates.
“The Open Doors Resource & Job Fair is a direct response to the needs we see every day in our community: access to opportunity, support, and connection,” said Melissa Roberts, Business Services Consultant for the Kentucky Career Center. “By creating a space where job seekers can meet potential employers and discover vital services, we’re helping build stronger futures for individuals and families throughout the community.”
Participating employers and resource partners include Accuride, Custom Staffing Services, City of Owensboro, Owensboro Community & Technical College, Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center, Almost Family, Manpower, Cornerstone Caregiving, PROMAN, TTMA, Azz Precoat Metals, Opportunity Center, Goodwill of Evansville, Puzzle Pieces, True North Treatment Center, Owensboro Health, and Perdue.
The event is funded by the Green River Workforce Development Area through Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds.
