The Cadillac Restaurant has been torn down nearly one year after it was heavily damaged by a fire. The motel was minimally damaged by the fire and is still standing.

The restaurant, located at 1315 West 2nd Street, caught fire at approximately 11:25 p.m. on December 15, 2024.

An Owensboro Fire Department official said at the time that flames were coming from multiple vents, and turbulent smoke was pouring from the roof. A ladder truck was used for ventilation, and a hand line was deployed.
