Glenn Funeral Home is turning its front lobby and parking lot into a hub for holiday giving, inviting the community to help restock the shelves at the Help Office of Owensboro as local food banks continue to feel the strain following recent SNAP uncertainty.

Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted at Glenn Funeral Home from November 17 through December 22 during regular business hours. Staff members say the goal is to make giving simple and accessible as the holiday season brings increased need.

The funeral home will also host a special drive-thru event, “Glenn’s Give & Go,” from 10 a.m. to2 p.m. on November 19. Drivers can pull up to a designated collection point in the parking lot, where attendants will retrieve donations directly from vehicles.

Non-perishable food remains the top priority, including canned goods, pasta, rice, peanut butter, cereal, and other shelf-stable items. All contributions will go directly to the Help Office, which provides emergency food, financial assistance, and other resources to families in need.

Glenn Funeral Home will also make its own monetary donation to support the nonprofit’s work.

“Please join us in making the holidays a little brighter for families in our community,” Glenn officials said in a release.
