A longtime Owensboro accounting firm will join Riney Hancock CPAs PSC at the end of the year, a move officials say will strengthen leadership and expand the firm’s local operations.
Clemens, Guthrie & Wurth, CPAs, LLP, will merge into Riney Hancock CPAs PSC effective December 31, consolidating the two practices under Riney Hancock’s Owensboro office at 2900 Veach Road, Suite 2.
As part of the transition, Michael Wurth will join Riney Hancock as a consultant, and Juli Wurth Stewart will come on as a senior manager in the firm’s tax department. Wurth will remain available to the firm on an ongoing basis, providing what the firm described as institutional knowledge and strategic insight, while Stewart will take on a leadership role serving tax clients and supporting growth within the department.
“This merger reflects our continued commitment to growth, talent development, and exceptional client service,” said Adam Hancock, a partner at Riney Hancock CPAs. “We are excited to welcome Mike and Juli to the firm and confident that their experience and leadership will add immediate value to our clients and our team.”
All operations from the former Clemens, Guthrie & Wurth practice will be consolidated into Riney Hancock’s existing Owensboro location. The former office will close as part of the integration, a move the firm said will streamline operations and enhance collaboration.
Founded in 1973, Riney Hancock CPAs has grown into a firm of specialized certified public accountants and financial advisors serving both businesses and individuals.
