The eastbound Audubon Parkway coming into Daviess County is closed this morning near the Henderson County line after a multi-vehicle pileup, according to Sheriff Brad Youngman.
Youngman said deputies have worked dozens of accidents on Wednesday morning and are currently on the eastbound bridge over the Green River, where “at least 8 to 10 vehicles” are involved. He said injuries appear to be minor and there are no fatalities.
Youngman said the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office will keep the eastbound lanes entering Daviess County closed until the wreck is cleared.
He urged drivers to use extreme caution, noting that bridges remain frozen despite sunshine and warming temperatures. He said there are still “very slick spots out there.”
