Competing at the South Warren Dual Tournament, Owensboro placed sixth out of 15 teams, finishing 3-3 on the day. The Red Devils beat Warren Central 48-18, West Jessamine 66-6, and South Warren “B” 66-5, but lost to Meade County 59-21, North Hardin 64-18, and South Warren “A” 63-18.
Kameryis Rodriquez Cline remains undefeated, finishing the day 5-0, while Isrell Roberts and Adam Quintana Melton both went 4-2.
“One of our wrestlers competed in his first matches ever, multiple athletes earned their first career wins, and the entire group competed with energy, toughness, and pride throughout the day,” Owensboro Head Coach Griffin Kelley said. “Overall, it was a very positive day for a young Owensboro squad, highlighted by growth, confidence, and strong effort across the line.”
