Competing at the KHSAA Class 3A State Indoor Track & Field Championships yesterday, Daviess County’s boys team finished 23rd, while the girls were 30th, Owensboro’s girls team placed 30th, and Apollo’s boys’ team was 34th.
Apollo had two athletes in attendance, with Asher Alvey finishing sixth in the 1600 and 16th in the 800, while Noah Gray was 11th in the 3200.
Nakiyah Voyles led the way for the Lady Devils, finishing fifth in the girls’ high jump, while the girls’ 4×200 and 4×800 relay teams were eighth and 14th.
The Panthers’ 4×800 relay team finished 16th, while the Lady Panthers’ 4×200 and 4×400 relays were ninth and 15th. In the individual events, Jocelyn Weaver led the way, finishing fifth in the girls’ long jump, while Ryder Williams was sixth in the boys’ triple jump.
