GREENVILLE, KY., Nancy Mae Woodson Hazzard, 76, of Greenville passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at her daughter’s residence. She was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on November 30, 1947 the daughter of the late Dr. Hylan Hale Woodson Jr. and Dorothy Rose Reagan Woodson. She had been a teacher in the Muhlenberg County School System, teaching for 28 years at Greenville Elementary. She was a positive influence on everyone she met and had a loving and giving soul.
She is survived by a daughter Jennifer Ross Laster of Greenville, a son Hylan Sean (Tara) Ross of Virginia, a grandson Robert Keith (Paige) Burch of Hardinsburg, 2 great grandchildren Aiden Burch and Mya Burch, 3 sisters Roseann Fetzer of Jefferson City, TN., Betty (Ed) Bak of St. Louis, MO., and Barbara (Jim) Wolford of Owensboro, KY.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY with her nephew Rev. Bryan Hale Brown. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Fredonia, KY.
