Nancy Mattingly Miller Richards, age 80 of Tell City, IN, passed away March 22, 2025, at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on September 12, 1944, daughter of the late Paul and Viola Martin Mattingly. Nancy retired from Commonwealth Aluminum after 30 years of service.
She loved nothing more than time with her family and was often on the highway traveling to see her siblings, children and grandchildren. “Mamaw”, as all the grandchildren called her, loved to be outside and could be found mowing her yard, watching the birds, tending her flowers or simply swinging in the sunshine. Mamaw loved Christmas and was known to play the best Santa!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Paul Mattingly, Betty Hale, Jean Glansbeek, Virginia Gilpin, Suzie Corley, Michael Mattingly and Vinnie “Bookie” Lynch and her daughter Jennifer Richards Hodges.
Nancy is survived by her children: Rob Miller (Jean), Eddie Miller (Sona), Larry Miller (Angie), Brian Miller (Heather), Donnie Richards and Kristen Richards McCormick (Jordan)
Her much loved grandchildren: Amanda, Jessica, Sarah, Magen, Matt, Nic, Jake, Paige, Lacy, Keegan, Bailey, Kaylah, Cole, Jettson, Ellie and Jackson
As Nancy battled the effects of Alzheimers, her family continued to grow with the addition of great grandchildren whom she adored.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, March 26, 2025, at 2 PM with cremation to follow. Visitation will begin at 10:30 M on Thursday. All times are central.
