John Louis Hodskins, 72, went to the other side on June 3, 2025. A brother, uncle, and devoted friend, John, left this earth without fear and regret. He was born on February 28, 1953, in West Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Anita and Louis Hodskins.
John was born a free spirit and remained that way throughout his life. His vast travels and the stories of them captivated his family and friends. He made his living as a professional painter, which gave him a strong sense of pride and accomplishment. John came from a large family, including six siblings, but his presence was always felt in a crowd. Most know him as a loving soul who was always ready to celebrate just being alive. His passion for music was expressive and contagious. He will be deeply missed by many.
In addition to his parents, John now joins his late son, John Hodskins, in the next life.
Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings, James (Beverly) Shock, Anita Shock, Mary (Bob) Shock, Richard Hodskins, Theresa Hodskins, and Ann Hodskins, as well as many other loving family and friends.
