Nelson T. “Butch” Evans, 74, of Fordsville, passed away on June 4, 2025, at his home. He was born on February 20, 1951 in Rosine, KY to the late Nelson and Laura Ellen Evans. Butch worked all his life in timber and sawmills.
In addition to his parents, Butch is preceded in death by his siblings, Donald Gene, Mary Jo and Carylon Sue Evans and his son, William Evans.
Butch is survived by his companion, McShelia Evans, his son, Thomas (Autumn) Evans; daughters, Rosza (Timmy) Kelly and Amanda (James) Tucker and Michael (Sue) Lindsey; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, including Raven Lilly Tucker, his “Baby Bear”; 2 sisters, Alice Fay Hayes and Sheila Ann Jones and a brother, Bruce Evans.
