Ronnie Edward Seaton, 82, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the Heartford House under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. He was born September 8, 1942 in Russellville to the late Joe and Irene Bird Seaton. Ronnie was retired after 30 years as an accountant for the Willamette Corp. and was a member of Jesus’s House. He was a very godly person and follower of Christ, and loved his church very much. Ronnie was a graduate of Brescia College having received his Bachelor’s degree in accounting. People referred to Ronnie as a “Quiet Giant” who was well-liked by everyone. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and always had Rolling Pin doughnuts and Moonlite Bar-b-que for many of their family gatherings. He enjoyed golfing, U. K. basketball, walking, yardwork, and their vacation trips to Florida.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janice Seaton; his children, Kevin Seaton (Janet) of Shawnee, Kansas, Keith Seaton (Edy) of Tupelo, Mississippi, and Joy LaForce (John) of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Brittani Belvedere (Esteban) of Overland Park, Kansas, Eric Seaton (Elisha) of Evans, Georgia, Brooke Seaton of Knoxville, Tennessee, Katelyn Giarratano (Matt) of Nashville, Tennessee, Austin Pharr (Tiffani) of Owensboro, and Madison Metz (Gabe) of Overland Park, Kansas and two step grandchildren, Alli LaForce and Johna LaForce , both of Owensboro; 10 great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren; a brother, Ricky Seaton and a sister, Wanda Beld, both of Elizabethtown.
Funeral services will be Noon Tuesday, June 17, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 7 PM Monday and from 11 AM until the time of the service at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
