
Dana Lee (Rayman) Alvey, 69, of Owensboro, KY, passed away at her residence (with her family by her side) on June 26, 2025. She was born on July 29, 1955, to the late Jack and Martha (Alexander) Rayman.
Dana retired, as a special needs bus driver, for the Daviess County Board of Education. In her free time, Dana enjoyed boating, fishing, cookouts, yard work, and spending time with her friends at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aries 4168 and 3510, with her husband, Randy Alvey. She had a passion for professional bull riding and had watched all 48 seasons of Survivor religiously.
Mrs. Alvey cherished her family and enjoyed nothing more than having them all together, including her dogs, Jake, Precious, and Toot. Dana was raised with Pentecostal faith and had excepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior as a child.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Randy Alvey; two children, Marti Duncan (Jason) of Mortons Gap, Matt Stuart (Angie) of Bowling Green; her sister, Connie Couch; five grandchildren, Tyler and Chandler Duncan, Madison Stuart, Hannah and Carly Hurt; one great grandchild, Kimber Duncan.
Dana is preceded in death by her mother, Martha DeBusk, her father, Jack Rayman, her stepmother, Margie Rayman, her brother, Jack Rayman, and her sisters, Cathy Johnson and Mary Perkins.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory, with Brother Tim Trout presiding. The Fraternal Order of Eagles will perform a tribute in Dana’s honor as part of the services. Friends and family are invited to visitation, at the funeral home, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A graveside committal service will take place, at Mount Zion Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery, following services.
