Samuel Lee Burden, age 61 of Harned, KY passed away July 14, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Louisville, KY on March 28, 1964. He was employed at the Breckinridge County Detention Center, where he was a deputy jailer. Samuel was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed woodworking, listening to classic rock music, target practice and working with computers. He will be missed by his fur buddies Harley and Rayne.
He is preceded in death by his father Donald Burden and his granddaughter Hadleigh May Burden.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 2 PM. Burial with military honors will be in the Custer Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 11 AM – 2 PM. All times are central.
