Carolyn “Carol” K. Dillon, 76, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born July 12, 1949 in Daviess County to the late Claude E. Peay and Frances Wallace Peay. Carol retired from River Valley Behavioral Health. She enjoyed writing and cooking. But most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Randall Peay and Hazel Peay.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Larry Dillon; son, Kevin Dillon (Jessica); six grandchildren, Summer Dillon, Kelsey Dillon, Hunter Dillon, Paisley Dillon, Kolton Dillon, and Kaylee Dillon; one great-grandchild, Emersyn Dillon and two great-grandchildren on the way; three sisters, Mary Kellems, Pam Jewell, and Norma Outlaw; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday and from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
