Richard Alan Nance, 77, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on July 25, 2025. He was born on June 13, 1948, to the late Haran and Mildred (Wall) Nance.
He was a proud Navy veteran and dedicated his life to hard work, spending 39 years as a skilled mechanic at Alcoa. Outside of work, Richard found joy in the simple pleasures of life—blasting 70s rock and roll, spending quality time with his beloved family, and doting on his loyal dogs. His love for music, family, and faithful companions reflected the strength and warmth of his character.
Along with his parents Richard is preceded in death by his sister, Norma Duvall and nephew, Brad Fulkerson
Those left to cherish Richards’s memory include his wife, of 20 years, Beverly (Hood) Nance; daughter Krista (Nick) Brune; stepchildren, Chris (Niki) Riley, Amber (Steve Turner) Warren, Mandi (Amanda) Riley and Jonathan (Brenda) Riley; 2 nieces; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to visitation, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory, on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
