Roberta Jean Haire, 82, of Owensboro passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on October 31, 1942, and was the beloved daughter of the late James and Sarah Parker.
Roberta was a light in the lives of all who knew her. She was charismatic, compassionate, and as warm as the sweet treats she loved to bake. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aroma of something delicious, but even more so, it was filled with laughter, stories, and love. Roberta was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love for her family was unwavering. She had a way of making everyone feel seen and cared for. Her daily phone calls were more than routine, they were lifelines of love and gentle check-ins. In high school, she was voted “Best Natured”, a title she embodied throughout her life.
Those left to cherish her memory is her dear husband of 33 years, Hank Haire; children, Rana (Diana) Bush-Chalfant and Randy (Robin) Bush; brothers, Paul and Phillip Parker; granddaughter, Gracelyn Bush (Matt); family dog, Charley; as well as many other loving family and friends.
Services will be private with care entrusted to Cardinal Cremation Society.
