
Linda Lee Lunsford, 74 of Owensboro was surrounded by her loving family when she passed on July 25, 2025, at the Heartford House under the compassionate care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born on August 6th, 1950, in Michigan City, Michigan and was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy and Ted Lunsford.
Linda devoted her life to making others feel beautiful and cared for, owning and operating beauty shops in Las Cruces, New Mexico; Laverne, Oklahoma; and Fort Supply, Oklahoma. She left a lasting impression in every community she touched. Above all, Linda cherished her family. No matter where she lived, she created a loving home for those around her. Known by many as the strongest woman they had ever known, her warmth, resilience, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Locust; brothers, Thomas and Benjamin Lunsford; and sister, Mary Ledford.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Cheryl Brown and Joshua Vanover; siblings, Victoria Lunsford, Daniel Lunsford, Bernard Lunsford, Suzanne Lunsford, Ruth Lunsford and Timothy Williams; grandchildren, Kasey Flying Out, Amanda Cabrera, Mitchell Guthrie, Leeza Aguirre, Kyle Heistand, Logan Vanover; as well as many other loving family and friends.
