Kimberly Ann Patton

Kimberly Ann Patton, 44, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025. She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on June 5, 1981, to Bill and Darla Wimsatt. Kim was a dedicated member of Matthew’s Table.

Kim found deep purpose in her work as a Peer Support Technician at Amethyst Recovery Center, where she offered understanding, compassion, and encouragement to those walking their own paths of healing. Outside of her career, her greatest joy and most cherished role was being a mother. She loved spending time with her children, whether it was sharing simple everyday moments, celebrating milestones, or offering endless love and support. Becoming a Mimi brought her a new kind of happiness, and she treasured every moment spent with Jy’Aire, creating memories filled with love, laughter, and warmth.

Kim was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bernard and Joyce Wimsatt, maternal grandparents, Tommy Burks and Judy Ford, grandparents-in-law, John “Buck” and Clara Patton, and one uncle Kevin Burks.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 22 years, Tim Patton; her children, Skyler (Shawn) Williams, Jaylen Patton, Preston Patton, Krislynn Patton, and Brinley Patton; grandson, Jy’ Aire Williams; and siblings, Billy (Ashley) Wimsatt and Jackson (Jessica) Wimsatt; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be at 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, with Rev. John L. Lewis Jr. officiating, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory. Family and friends are welcome to visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home.
