Edward Dwayne ”Eddie” White, Sr. – The Man, The Myth, The Legend, passed away August 22, 2025. Most of you knew him as Eddie, to us he was Dad. If you knew him, you definitely knew he was an excellent storyteller. His Eddie-isms and the nicknames he gave everyone will never be forgotten. He taught us love is the greatest thing in the world, and he showed that love to everyone. He was kind, funny, compassionate and as cool as the other side of the pillow. He will be missed.
Eddie was born in Jefferson County, KY on March 11, 1960, son of the late Carvin and Madonna Bryant White. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Army Reserves. He was one of thirteen children and the family jokester. He enjoyed music – anything from Bluegrass to Classic Rock.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Merle T. White and Richard White, and his brother-in-law Ricky Flood.
Eddie is survived by Kathy, his wife of 44 years.

Duke (Rickey) of Cloverport, KY and Roma Risinger (David) of Goshen,KY

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11 AM with burial in the Glen Dean Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 3 – 8 PM and Wednesday after 8 AM. All times are central.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Cave Spring Community Church or Glen Dean Cemetery.
