GREENVILLE—-Nancy Louise Gates, 83, of Greenville died on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Maple Health and Rehabilitation in Greenville. She was born in Todd County, KY, on April 16, 1942, the daughter of Johnnie Wells and Beulah Petrie Wells. She had worked at Wing Supply in Uncle Lee’s. She was a member of New Paradise Baptist Church for 48 years and was a dedicated wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 51 years Billy Faye Gates in 2011, three brothers, and a sister.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 3 at 1:00 at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Tim Adcock officiating. Burial will follow in Joines Chapel Cemetery in Greenville.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Bobby) Mahlosky of Greenville, KY; her son, Barry Gates of Calhoun, KY; four grandchildren, Jarrod (Mitzi) Gardner of Greenville, Matt (Amy) Gardner of Greenville, Chad (Stephanie) Mahlosky of Greenville, Lindsey Witten of Greenville; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 3 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home.
