Benny Linton Bell, 87, of Owensboro, departed to be with the Lord on August 30, 2025 with his wife and daughters by his side. Benny was a man full of sunshine who never met a stranger making friends everywhere he went. He managed and owned NAPA Auto Parts and worked at Golf Plus in his retirement being a lifelong golf enthusiast. He was a longtime faithful member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church and loved his church family. His family was his great love, always going above and beyond for his kids and grandkids.
Benny was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Lucille (Bristow) Bell; his twin brother, Sam Bell; and his sister, Frances Bell.
Benny is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda W. Bell; daughters, Stefanie (Greg) Faulls and Mary Beth (Jeff) Carlisle; son, Andy Bell; grandchildren, Christina (Landon) Harting, Nathan (Rachel) Faulls, Abby (Owen) Tucker, Micah Faulls, Annye (Andy) Bowles, and Maddie (Austin) Lilly; five great-grandchildren, Grayson, Jayne, Benny, Dean, and Zoey; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Lewis Lane Baptist Church. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
