William Morris "Billy" Macy

William Morris “Billy” Macy, age 82 of Harned, KY, passed away August 30, 2025, at Robley Rex VA Medical Center. He was born in Harned, KY on October 25, 1942, son of the late Morris Hensley and Mary Franklin Brown Macy. Billy was a retired Civil Service employee and a veteran of the United States Army. He has devoted over thirty years to Pastoral Ministry. He began this journey at Ephesus Cumberland Presbyterian Church, moved to Magnolia Cumberland Presbyterian Church and finally spent over 30 years at Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Leitchfield, KY. He was a member of Grayson County Ministerial Association and Hardinsburg Masonic Lodge. His love of golf led to his membership at Breckinridge County Community Center. From an early age, Billy has always loved sports – basketball, softball and baseball and played for many years in the church league. He loved his family, especially being a grandfather and great grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his great grandson Jesse Lamkey, brother Sam Macy and nephews Bryce Macy.

Billy is survived by Shirley, his wife of almost 59 years.

7 grandchildren: Cassandra Lamkey (Coy), Meagan Macy, Caitlyn Krebs (Chad), Nick Young, Blake Galloway (Emma), Sydney and Emily Galloway

4 great grandchildren: Amya and Macey Lamkey, Caldwell and Clara Krebs

1 brother: Bob Macy (Karen Maschak) of Radcliff, KY

2 half sisters: Lisa Quiggins (Teddy) of Custer, KY and Melinda Norton (Terry) of Hardinsburg, KY

1 stepbrother: Larry Bruner (Chris) of Rineyville, KY and 1 stepsister Brenda Stinnett of Custer, KY

Funeral services will be held at Ephesus Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 11 AM with burial in the Ephesus Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, September 4, 2025, 3:30 – 8 PM and Friday after 8:30 AM. All times are central.
