Alan K. Turner, 73, of Owensboro, went to be with his savior on Monday, September 1, 2025 at his home after battling health issues. He was born October 2, 1951 in Evansville, Indiana to the late James C. Turner and Wilma Trunnell Turner Boulware. Except for the years in the Navy during the Vietnam Era, he spent living in Owensboro Kentucky. Alan loved and made his career in electronics and worked at General Electric. After leaving General Electric, he went on to buy and operate Turner Electronics in Owensboro until close to his retirement time. He finished as a supervisor in the security field.
He is survived by his wife Doris J. Turner; daughter Alishia Thompson of Tennessee; granddaughters, Elexis Thompson and Courtni Thompson; and a grandson Michael Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
