Mary Davidson Melton, 89, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at her home. She was born July 16, 1936 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Oliver and Margaret McGrory Davidson. Mary worked for Vitamin Seekers Company as the office manager and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. She was a master gardener and loved dancing and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Joe Melton; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Gibson and Cathy Adams (Greg); three grandchildren, Travis Adams, Chelsea Adams, and Jarrod Dickey; two stepsons, Shawn Archer (Holly) and Joe Melton Jr. (Erica); two brothers, Bud Oliver Davidson and Lou Davidson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
