Martha Paris Raley Sims, 84, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Mosleyville on July 18, 1941, to the late Albert and Gertrude Jones Paris.
Martha was a devoted homemaker who found her greatest joy in caring for her family. She especially loved spending time with them; her home was always filled with warmth and laughter. She had a special talent for decorating, and Christmas was her favorite time of year, when she lovingly made her home sparkle with festive cheer. Martha was of the Pentecostal faith, which guided her life and was a source of strength and comfort.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Todd Raley and Jody Sims; 1 brother and 1 sister.
Those left to cherish Martha are her children, Gary Raley, Jeff (Lisa) Raley and Jonathan Sims; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren along with her siblings Joyce Peay, Lonnie (Linda) Paris, Kim (Todd) Mattingly, and Bruce Paris
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Friends and family are invited to visitation at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
