Richard Don Thurman, age 35 of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, in Georgetown, KY as the result of a work related accident. He was born in Mesa, Arizona on June 27, 1990. Richard was employed by Atlas Machine as a field machinist. He had a wide variety of interests including hunting, fishing, model cars, being a small time farmer – raising chickens, goats and any small animal and antique cars. His passion was motorcycles – riding, building and selling them.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11 AM with burial in the Kingswood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 3:30 – 8 PM and Friday after 8 AM. All times are central.
