Wilford Leo Crowe, 59, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on October 4, 2025. He was born on December 8, 1965, to the late Robert and Virgilia (Hardesty) Crowe.
Wilford was an avid fan of the UK Wildcats and enjoyed keeping up with their stats online. He loved watching television and playing his Nintendo Switch, especially adventure games like The Legend of Zelda. Wilford cherished spending time with his brother, Darrell, and was known for his friendly, outgoing nature. His family lovingly described him as a peacemaker who brought warmth and harmony to those around him.
Wilford is preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Marilyn VanBussum, Helen (Mike) Phillips, and Darrell Crowe; his nephews, Travis (Ella) VanBussum and Robert “Bobby” Phillips; his niece, Amber (Tony) Nguyen, and his close friend, Star Goatee.
Services will be held at 6:00 PM, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from noon until the time of service at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of charitable donations made payable to Opportunity Center of Owensboro at 1101 E Byers Ave, Owensboro, KY 42303. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
