Freda J. Poiles, 64, of Owensboro, passed over peacefully to her heavenly home on October 6, 2025. She was born on July 18, 1961, and was the beloved daughter of the late Barbara F. Allen (Poston).
In her earlier years, Freda dedicated herself to caring for others through her work at the Executive Inn, Rosedale Home, and Fern Terrace Lodge. She touched many lives with her compassion and kindness. Freda found joy in music, thrifting, flowers, and traveling to visit her sisters. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and many friends. Freda was a kind soul who will be missed by all who knew her.
Freda was preceded in death by her son, Charles Stephen Poiles; sister, Paula Lynn Pope; brother, Joseph Poston; former spouse, Stephen “Steve” Poiles; and great niece, Winter Denny.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jeremy Scott Poiles; sisters, Janie (Kelly) Allen and Michelle (Brian) Allen; granddaughter, Amelia Poiles; nephews, Doug, Cam, Zachery, Seth, Callum; and niece, Niah.
