Cynthia (Cindy) Kay Lyons, 68, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Baptist Health in Lexington, KY. She was born September 16, 1957 in Owensboro to Jerry and Catherine Lyons.
Cindy had a generous spirit, creative hands, and kind heart. A true lover of the simple joys in life. She found happiness in the kitchen, preparing meals and baking sweets for her family and friends to enjoy. Cindy had a special fondness for flowers and enjoyed working in her flower beds, often sharing updates with her friends about how well they’ve grown or bloomed at an unusual time. And when it comes to basketball, Cindy was both a passionate fan and loyal supporter of the Kentucky Wildcats. However, her favorite team to cheer on was whichever team her son was coaching.
Cindy’s warmth, laughter, and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cindy was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and by the love of her life, Steve Powers.
Cindy is survived by her parents, Jerry and Catherine Lyons; daughter, Jasmine Lyons of Frankfort, KY; son, Stephen (Rachel) Quattrocchi of Georgetown, KY; grandchildren, Kristen, Noah, Rose and Bryson; brother, Randall (Lisa) Lyons; as well as her niece and nephew, Emily (Josh) Buttrum and Keith Lyons; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation is from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
