Elsie Harkins Fleming, 88, of Greenville died on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 1:30 AM at her residence. She was born on January 23, 1937, the daughter of James Bishop Harkins and Flossie Anna Boggess Harkins. She and her late husband Jerry Fleming owned and operated Fleming Marine Sales, Inc. for over 40 years. She was known as Mamaw to her great granddaughter. She loved UK basketball and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Fleming, her parents, one brother Bishop Junior Harkins and one sister Anna Belle Bethel.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20 at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Tom Stovall officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Jarrod Scott Fleming of Greenville, KY; one grandson, Jarrod Atlee (Ariel) Fleming of Greenville, KY; one granddaughter, Kennedy Dawn Fleming of Greenville, KY; one great granddaughter, McKennly Dawn Fleming of Greenville, KY; two brothers, Mike Harkins of Graham, KY and Sammy (Teresa) Harkins of Greenville, KY; five sisters, Sue Jernigan of Owensboro, KY, Shelia Foster of Greenville, KY, Linda Carr of Bowling Green, KY, Mary (David) Greene of Graham, KY, Sherri (Jerry) Oates of Graham, KY; a sister-in-law, Becky Harkins of Greenville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 19th at Gary’s Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and on Monday, October 20th from 11:00 AM until time of funeral at 1:00 PM.
