Donna S. Barnes, age 70 of Hardinsburg, KY, passed away October 26, 2025, at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born in Louisville on February 5, 1955, daughter of the late Morris Dean Sanders, Sr. and Evarlena Jane Hunt Sanders. Donna was a member of Minor Lane Heights Baptist Church and a photographer for the Hardinsburg Volunteer Fire Department. She was a former department manager for Walmart.
Donna enjoyed crocheting, fishing, camping, being on the water, and traveling. She was the best Mamaw to her grandchildren and great grandchildren and mother to her faithful companion Cora.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her great grandson Jaxson Lindsey, sister Mary Jane Sanders Williams and brother-in-law Frank Roberts.
Donna is survived by Jerry, her husband of 52 years.
2 daughters: JeriAnne Lindsey (Mark) and Victoria Lynne Sines (Johnny)
11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

2 brothers: Jim Rex Sanders (Theresa) and Morris Dean Sanders, Jr.

Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, 2 – 5 PM. All times are central.
