Mary Frances Bickett Howard, 80, of Whitesville, passed away at Owensboro Health on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Frankie was born on September 3, 1945 in Daviess County to the late James Claude and Matilda Ellen Whitfield Bickett. She drove a school bus for Ohio County Public Schools for 28 years. Frankie was an active member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church; she enjoyed sewing, upholstery, gardening, photography, and spending time with her family. She gave generously of her time, talent and treasure and will be remembered for her servant heart.
In addition to her parents, Frankie was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd William Howard, her sister Connie Ellis and nephew Frank Applebee.
Frankie is survived by her children, Teresa (Billy) Turner, David (LeAnn) Howard, Yvonne Howard, Scott Howard, Saundra (Phillip)Reynolds and DeeAnna (Al) Wathen; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; 9 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of the St. Mary of the Woods “Together We Can” Capital Campaign.
A funeral mass will be said on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. with prayers at 5:30 p.m., at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, KY.
A private family burial will be held at St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery at a later date.
